About the property:
The jagged white peaks of the Heeramani glacier bear down on you from the north, while to the east, Nepalese snowcaps twinkle in the glittery distance. This kind of scenery is normally reserved for hardened trekkers - but you’ll find Shakti 360 Leti a lot more indulgent than Everest base camp. Four futuristic glass, wood and stone cabins, and a larger communal dining and lounge area, perch on a stunningly remote mountaintop that commands knockout views of the northwestern Himalaya. And while you soak up this incredible vista from a height of 7,314 feet (2,230m), you'll be living in the lap of solar-powered eco-luxury. The incredible location redefines 'remote' and getting here isn’t easy. But it's worth it. An overnight train journey from Delhi and a lengthy car ride bring you to the tiny mountain village of Leti. From here, it’s a 1-hour walk along a narrow track (porters carry your bags) before you finally arrive at this sumptuous hideaway, designed by Mumbaiker Bijoy Jain. Be warmly welcomed by your hosts before feasting on gourmet cooking and fine wines, then retire to your cabin's comfort of giant beds adorned with duvets and pashmina blankets. During the day, visit mountain temples, explore secluded mountain paths and picnic by waterfalls; spend evenings by your private firepit.Whether you are adventuring, in search of the ultimate escape, or on honeymoon, this is the perfect place to unwind and breathe in the crystalline air - and to gaze upon those once-in-a-lifetime views. The little known Kumaon region lies in the northern hill state of Uttarakhand. It offers some of the most stunning mountain scenery that we know of anywhere, from the perennially snow capped peaks of the Great Himalaya range in the north to the pretty hill stations at the foothills. Shakti 360° Leti is located in the Bageshwar district north of where our Kumaon villages are. An innovative combination of traditional building techniques and contemporary design, 360° Leti is set in a stunning mountain wilderness at 8,000 feet. It is a place where you can take time to reflect, and allow the space, peace and beautiful landscape to work their magic around you.Indoors, there's gourmet cooking, beverages and a cozy fireplace, as well as beds adorned with pashmina blankets and fluffy duvets. Outdoors there are mountain walks, treks and camping experiences. Laze in planter’s chairs and enjoy the views and sunshine or maybe pack fishing gear and a picnic lunch and hike down to the river. Yoga and meditation sessions can be arranged on request as well. With only four private guest pavilions and a main lounge-dining area, the resort is ideal for a unique escape into serenity, without forgoing luxury and comfort. Shakti 360° Leti can be combined perfectly with the Kumaon Village experiences to create a complete Himalayan experience.
