About the property: 

A getaway to Quiet Place Himalayas is all about unwinding and breathing in the sublime mountain air! It is perched on top of a hillock and is snuggled amidst the dense Oak, Deodar forests and trees laden with apples, apricots, plums and other fruits surrounds this private mountain retreat  This place is perfect for a digital detox. Wake up to the sounds of the birds singing, breathe in the fresh aroma of the surrounding flora and fauna and bathe in the mild sunshine at our favourite sit-out spot - perfect for that morning cuppa curled up with your favourite book. The homestay has been thoughtfully built using locally sourced materials, like stones, wood and mud, by the local artisans. They practice rainwater harvesting, use solar power and compost their own food waste. They discourage the use of plastic as much as possible, making the homestay more sustainable and responsible towards travel.

The homestay has a total of 6 rooms - 2 double occupancy rooms, 4 suites and has 2 comman living space -  The book lounge - it is a wooden house with wall-to-wall French windows and a skylight roof, lined with a carefully curated collection of books for all tastes and sensibilities. A traditional hand-crafted Bukhari in the middle of the room keeps it warm and cosy even during the cold winters. This is also the place where all the meals are served and enjoyed. The Island -  is an outdoor common sit out area, offering majestic 270 degree views of the distant mountains and valleys. Nights bring a sky overcrowded with stars, whizzing satellites, and maybe a shooting star or two. Relish scrumptious dishes cooked by the in-house team. They serve fresh and lip-smacking home cooked meals using local ingredients as they also grow organic vegetables and herbs at their own garden. The menu usually consists of North Indian delicacies, punctuated with local Kumaoni delicacies, Chinese food and European fare. Meals and evening tea/coffee, snacks are served buffet style at fixed timings in the book lounge. They don’t offer room service, unless someone is sick and cannot venture out to the common area.

The main house has 2 rooms, these rooms feature minimalist but tastefully done décor. The rooms have a 10 ft plate glass bay window that offers gorgeous views of the snow-clad peaks and forests and valleys in between. Both the main house rooms open into an elegant and well-furnished common living room, including a small kitchenette, and with its own collection of books to read. These two rooms can either be rented as a 2-bedroom cottage, or individually, making them perfect for families/groups of 4-6 people. When booked as one unit, these are ideal for a larger group of four to six adults. There are a total of 4 eco-friendly Cob Suites which are 50 metres away from the main house. Each cob suite excudes a rustic charms and has two rooms, a private bathroom, and can comfortably sleep three adults (four with an extra bed). Each Cob suite also has a large plate glass bay window overlooking the lush greenery and the distant mountains that serenade the soul to sink deeper into silence and contemplation. All rooms and suites have attached, western style bathrooms, each has two work desks and its own sit out.  

Spending a few days at this intimate homestay wouldn’t just be a vacation, but it would also be a great way to promote responsible travel too. So, abandon your drained self by breathing in the pure air of the Himalayas and take home some endearing memories.

Dawn Room From 4700/night

The dawn room is in the main house and it features minimalist but tastefully done décor. The room has a 10 ft. glass plate bay window that offers gorgeous views of the snow-clad peaks and forests and valleys in between.  The dawn room along with the dusk room have access to a common, well furnished living room with a small kitchenette.These two rooms, including the living room can be rented as one single unit, making them perfect for families/groups of 4-6 people

It has a 10 ft plate glass bay window that offers expansive views of the snow-clad peaks and forests and valleys in between. The dusk room along with the dawn room have access to a common, well furnished living room with a small kitchenette.These two rooms, including the living room can be rented as one single unit, making them perfect for families/groups of 4-6 people.

Cob Suite From 4700/night

The charming, eco-friendly cob-suites exude a rustic charm and are some 50 metres from the main house, and have Each cob suite has two rooms and has a large plate glass bay window surrounded by lush green nature and the distant mountains that serenade the soul to sink deeper into silence and contemplation.

RESERVATIONS

Cancellation Policy:

  • If you cancel your booking more than 7 days before arrival, the cancellation fee will be 20% of the full invoice amount
  • If you cancel your booking more than 3 days before arrival, the cancellation fee will be 50%
    of the full invoice amount
  • No refund will be issued if you cancel less than 3 days before your arrival.

Pet Policy: 

On occasion, guests bring their pets. They have two dogs of their own, one of whom can be a little territorial. Theyallow dogs on the property subject to the following conditions:
1. No aggressive or overly hairy breeds allowed
2. Pets are not allowed on the furniture or bed. Please bring a bed / basket for the pet.
3. We do not provide any special food for the dog so if your dog has special needs please bring
their food.
4. Pets are not allowed in indoor common areas.
5. If other guests are uncomfortable with pets, you have to keep your pet in your room.
6. We charge a cleaning fee of INR 500 per day per pet.
To book with a pet, please check with us in advance before you book.

Air: Pantnagar Airport is 4 hours driving time, and Bareilly airport is 5 hours driving time from us. 
Indigo, Spicejet and Air India have daily Delhi-Pantnagar flights. A cab from Pantnagar to Satkhol
takes about Rs. 4000.
There are direct flights from Mumbai and Bangalore to Bareilly 3 days a week. A cab from Bareilly
charges approx 6000.
Train: There are three trains a day to Kathgodam (the nearest train station) from Delhi. Most people
prefer to take the Kathgodam Shatabdi (Delhi dep: 6.20 AM, Kathgodam Arr : 11.40 AM). A cab from
Kathgodam to Satkhol takes about 2.5 hrs / Rs. 2200.
There are trains from Kolkata, Lucknow and Dehradun as well.
Road: The Quiet Place Himalayas is an 8-9 hour drive from Delhi. It helps if you leave early. The
nearest big town is Mukteshwar, which is 12 km by road from us.?
