After over two decades in the corporate world, Ajay Singh left the hustle behind to embrace the peace of the mountains, trading deadlines for dawns. Tanu Shree Singh, a Professor, writer, and storyteller, is driven by her love for books and inspiring young minds, finding joy in sharing stories amidst the serenity of the mountains.
Together, they brought to life The Forest Edge - an intimate boutique retreat nestled at the edge of the forest, offering a sanctuary for like-minded souls to gather, reflect, and connect. With 10 uniquely designed rooms inspired by timeless books and literary characters, the experience is unlike any other. Offering 8 double-occupancy rooms, a cozy family cottage, and a spacious attic room for four, there’s a perfect retreat for every guest. Each room is named after literary classics -Calvin & Hobbes, Tintin, Asterix, The Rabbit Hole, Bag End, St. Mary Mead, and even the mysterious “a room that shall not be named.” The traditional mud-plastered walls naturally regulate the room temperature, ensuring comfort in all seasons. Surrounded by lush orchards full of plums, pears, and apples, The Forest Edge is the epitome of peaceful beauty. Every room features a private balcony or patio, ideal for unwinding while taking in the stunning surroundings. During colder months, guests can unwind by a traditional bukhari fireplace, with electric blankets to stay warm.
